At work you are often confronted with challenges in your daily work or career and sometimes you have to make tough choices. In those cases, you could benefit from support by a professional mentor/coach who knows what you are talking about.
I am combining my 20 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a extensive education in mentoring and coaching. Therefore, I am providing my coaching services mainly (but not exclusively) to professionals and executives working in the Life Science industry. I am accustomed to work with scientifically and practically-tuned people and my personal style is concrete and to the point. In a series of personal coaching sessions , we will be looking for the challenges in your work and what prevents you to reach your ambitious goals. I will act as your guide, my job is to ask the right questions so you will find out what motivates you and what behaviors or beliefs you could change to your advantage. I will give you insight in different communication styles and how you can use it to be more effective. In addition, I will support you in setting achievable goals, making the right career choices and how to better monitor your “work-life balance”. Topics that can be addressed are:
Career choices: Are you in the right job or dreaming of another career? Do you often feel restless, but do not take action? If you know your dream job, do you know how to get to it?
Work-life balance: Do you think you have a healthy work-life balance? Do you spend enough time with your family and friends? Are you afraid that you get a burnout?
New managers: Have you recently been appointed as a manager or executive and now you are faced with the challenge to transition from an in-depth expert who knows all the details, to someone that should delegate responsibilities to others and make decisions based on high level data? That seemed easy, but in reality it is quite difficult. How do you handle this, what do you need to keep in mind, how do you influence others and how do you get the best out of your team?
Communication: Communication and effective collaboration is never really easy, but becomes even more challenging when you work in an international organization with employees with cultural backgrounds, work in virtual teams that only meet face-to-face only occasionally. This often leads to communication problems, misunderstandings, inefficiency and frustration. How can you improve communication in multicultural, virtual teams?
Team coaching: Are you leading, or working in, a team that does not function optimally? Would you like it to become a high performance team? Have you tried everything but could not improve this?
